Mark DiSalvo - Owner/Coach/Rooted Nutrition Coach

Over 7 years ago, my best friend asked me to open a CrossFit gym with him and it was one of the best decisions of my life. I can't express enough how much I love the people that make up this amazing community as they have become family to me.

My focus each day is to protect the culture we have all created. That is a culture that should improve and impact various aspects of peoples' lives. It is a culture that develops and relies on authentic relationships to get the best out of each other whether it be our training, eating, or happiness. And even though I'm getting all soft on you here.....yes, we train with the best of them! #workhardplayhard

I have certifications in USA Weightlifting, CrossFit (CF-L1), CrossFit Gymnastics, CrossFit mobility, and I am partially through a masters in holistic nutrition. I am also a graduate of LaSalle University and an alumni of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses. However, it is my experiences, years of programming, and interactions with members over the years that has taught me more than anything else.


Janet DiSalvo - Owner / Coach

When my husband and I decided to open CrossFit Prime, I never knew it would become like a second home to me. Over these 6 plus years, our community has grown to include people that I am proud to also call my friends. Through CrossFit and our members I have grown into a stronger woman than I ever thought possible.

As a child, I was always active as a competitive gymnast for over 10 years. In high school I also played soccer while running cross country and track. Once I became an "adult" these fun activities ceased and I had to enter the real world. CrossFit Prime has allowed me to be a kid again in our team like training environment. I look forward to befriending and helping anyone that is looking to to have the same fun in health and training.

James Wise - Coach/Rooted Nutrition Coach

I am a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer with additional CF certifications in Mobility and Kids Trainer. Coming from a background of rock climbing, I started CrossFitting in 2009 as training for bouldering competitions. That got boring, so now it is just CrossFit. In 2010 I received the CrossFit Level 1 trainer certification and joined the team at CrossFit Prime. I head up the introduction program and have helped hundreds of people through their hesitations about looking silly in front of others while reaching their goals. An avid nutritional self experimenter, I help teach the principles of keeping food simple while still getting your tacos in. I have participated in CrossFit Competitions, Goruck Challenges, a Spartan 12 hour Hurricane Heat, and I once did 1000 push-­ups for fun.

I use exercise to justify being lazy on the couch with my wife, playing video games with my two kids, and my love of tacos.

Karin Jonczak - Coach

I am a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer (CF-L1) with CF certifications in Endurance, Kettlebells, Mobility, and Weightlifting. I am also AOLC Certified, but don’t be intimidated by all that fancy shit as I am an athletic late bloomer!

In early 2008 I enlisted the help of my then brother-in-law to learn the basics of CrossFit and its been upwards since then. In 2014 I added an Olympic lifting focus and I am currently working towards breaking the state records for my age group (40-45) for both the snatch and the clean & jerk. I try to spread my love of Olympic lifting to all, teaching the intro Oly course at CrossFit Prime and offering private and semi-private coaching to those who are interested. Some days I know Mark questions his sanity inviting me to be part of CrossFit Prime family, but most days we can both agree it was an awesome thing for both of us and I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.​

Christina Gratkowski - Coach

I am a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer and the newest addition to the amazing trainer staff at CFP. I started Crossfit right after graduating college in 2014 after being sick of the typical gym scene and immediately fell in love with it. I joined the Prime family when I moved to the area (from the far away land that I call my hometown) to start Optometry school at Salus University. Since starting at Prime, all of the trainers and members inspired me and really helped me grow as an athlete. I look forward to coming to Prime every day after many hours of class and studying and it is truly what is keeping me sane while in school. Also, if you see me rocking sunglasses on the reg, know that my eyes are dilated for school and I’m not just trying to look cool.

This past summer, I was thrilled to have the opportunity to get my Level 1 Crossfit Certification and become a trainer myself. I especially love working with new members by helping them learn and grow to become better athletes and gain more confidence in the gym. And, if I see you doing something great, know that I’ll throw a “YASSSS" your way.

Steph Kagan - Rooted Nutrition Coach

Hi Guys! I started at CrossFit Prime in 2012 and it has had an unimaginable impact on my life. When I joined Prime I had the “Standard Skinny White Girl” diet. Cheerios with a banana for breakfast, a salad with some ranch dressing for lunch, maybe a piece of fruit and a massive Chipotle Burrito for dinner. Horrifying even thinking about it now, but hey we all start somewhere.

After years of picking Mark’s brain, writing my thesis on the ‘Impact of Nutrition on Reproductive Health’, geeking out over nutrition books and learning about macro’s - my eating habits have entirely changed to reflect a diet that is nutrient based, full of variety and balance. Rather than counting calories, I eat to fuel my body, maintain and promote both short and long term health, and of course to LGF...and as an added bonus it has added some “good meat” as my husband would say.

I am incredibly passionate about nutrition and helping people understand the impact of a nutrient dense diet on their life. It is the foundation of health and performance and I am pumped to have the opportunity to work with members to educate and help them reach their goals while feeling amaze balls all at the same time.
