The Next 2 Weeks

By: Mark DiSalvo

I am away the next 2 weeks so I ask everyone to train smart, be safe, and enjoy the last few weeks of summer. Since I will be away, I am going to preview the next 2 weeks of workouts. Also remember, we will try a new schedule beginning September 4th. This will be a temporary trial switch to 4:30, 5:30, 6:30, & 7:30 for every evening during September. The only exception is no 7:30 on Fridays. We will update the Class Schedule part of the website to reflect these changes once we get to September. This Fall we will also try some other schedule additions, but we will announce them as they come and implement one at a time. If we make too many changes at once I might piss my pants and forget who I am for a half an hour or so. (Movie?) Midday classes and Sunday classes are other new additions under consideration but don’t hold me to that. It is partially dependent upon gym growth. Read on for Other news and Preview

OTHER ANNOUNCEMENTS

  • We are finalizing our winter gear by labor day. We are going with winter hats and some sort of top. Not sure yet if it will be a jacket, zip up hoodie, or cold running type gear. Whatever it is, it will be different then things we have done in the past. Once we finalize our choices, we will take pre orders and get them in during the fall so stay tuned.
  • Halloween Party on October 27th so save the date. It will be a BYOB and will require a costume for admission as usual. It should be a real hoot as usual. Last year Santa Claus showed up and set it off. Unfortunately, I think Santa has a drinking problem and is currently back in the clinic getting off the wild turkey. More details to come in the fall, but be sure to save the date and be there!
  • We will have an OPEN HOUSE on October 6th. Once we get to Sept, we will announce the details of the WOD and promotions related to the day. Be sure to tell your friends though if you know anyone that also likes to be tortured.

This coming Saturday (the 18th) there will be a 10a and an 11a class. The WOD will be a 30 minute partner AMRAP that includes running, dead lifts, pull-ups, KB swings, and HSPUs (or wall walks).

I will post next Saturday (the 25th) next week along with the skills class.

    3. Mark

No prize because it is Xmas vacation. He says it at the top of the hill before Clark goes sledding. Thanks for trying see Rhonda on your way out for a free gift card to Bob house of Ribs.

      • Bob C.

You’ll love my ribs, Sean. And if you don’t, then f- you. -BC

    4. Sean

When will you need cash for the clothing??

    5. Mark

Not until sept after we announce

    6. Art

Hoping for cold running type gear – the last thing I need is another jacket and/or hoodie.

    7. Mike

I’d be for a 3-season jacket with a hood as the one I presently use with my work emblem is starting to get worn out. I’d love to use a CFP jacket which would be seen by many as I would wear it a lot come Fall, Winter, and Spring.

Just my 2 cents if it means anything :)

    8. Karin

I modified this Saturday to a 40 minute AMRAP in teams of 3 – one person working at a time. The longest rest will probably be the run (about two minutes at the most).
