Stimulus and Strategy:
Today’s workout contains 6 sprint-style intervals. In order to get the most out of this effort, choose a jump rope variation that gives you around 30 seconds to perform kettlebell swings. The kettlebell loading should be something heavier than you may normally swing, but manageable enough that you can swing it for the entirety of the remaining time in the interval.

Scaling:
Reduce the loading of the kettlebell. Reduce the reps of the double-unders.

To reduce the complexity of the jump rope, consider performing single-unders. For the kettlebell swings, reduce the range of motion.

In case of injury or limitation, for the double-unders, perform penguin taps or consider 7/9 calories on a bike. For the kettlebell swings, perform single-arm swings or kettlebell sumo deadlifts.

20 double-unders
Max kettlebell swings in the remaining time

Rest 1 minute between rounds. Score is total number of kettlebell swings.

Did this late but on a scheduled rest day as I’m taking a 4 day break…


13-11-10-9-11-15 reps as rx’d. final round was the only time I was able to go unbroken on 45 double unders. Tripped 1-3 times on all other rounds. I didn’t do any singles to get going at any point. Ass will be sore as the 10 squat cleans yesterday already had me wearing pain shorts.

found out that the time on my rower is about 0.5 seconds slower than the wod timer app on my phone and despite showing 10 cal when i stopped rowing the cals went “backwards” to 7 cal once i got off the rower.

Nice work. Time to have a word with your rower though. I swear I once saw a timer go backward on my rower. Just once, but pissed me off/freaked me out. Probably O2 deprivation!

Intermediate in the garage gym. No 70lb KB and I was worried about getting the 45 DU with enough time to swing. Besides missing my first rep, those went smooth and left me plenty of time to swing.
